Tara Costello-Ledwell has devoted her life and career to the development knowledge and application of mindfulness, mental skills and behavioral habits for peak performance and meaningful living. Drawing on a breadth of personal and work experiences as well as a variety of psychological frameworks. Foundationally, Tara’s consulting stems largely from fields of positive psychology, performance psychology, modern neuro-science of mindfulness, equine facilitated learning, and experiential/ adventure based personal growth approaches.     

Meet Tara Costello-Ledwell, MA, CSPA, Mental Performance Consultant

Tara lives with her comedic husband Patrick Ledwell and son Nathaniel in Rural PEI. She works with clients from across the country using distance-based communication and in-person services locally and through travel.

She's been an athlete herself, playing varsity and Canada Games Field Hockey, a marathon and long-distance runner, as well as competes in western-equestrian pursuits. She is a business owner, a teacher, a wife, a mother, and has a big love of animals.  She supports professionals from variety of careers and athletes at many different levels. Clientele includes professionals in highly demanding careers; surgeons, veterinarians, lawyers as well as professional and amateur athletes and teams. These have included NHL/ AHL players, nationally ranked junior tennis athletes, Canadian Youth Olympic team members, Canadian and World Junior curling champions, various university teams and athletes, Special Olympics Canada National team program, plus other regionally and nationally successful athletes.

Tara was the lead practitioner in a research project exploring the human-animal connections with veterans diagnosed with PTSD. Results are very promising in the proven psychological and physiological benefits of working with horses for mental health and well-being.
