m.S.O.A.R. for Equestrians is a four-week mindfulness-meditation program designed for equestrians who are looking to perform under pressure, strengthen attentional skillfulness in guarding against negative affects of high demand / stress on attention, performance and personal well-being. In this program, you will be supported in deliberately training the three attentional neural-networks of the brain utilizing the science, wisdom and tradition of mindfulness meditation.

Why is this relevant for Equestrians in highly demanding events ?

This is a “clinic” for your mind. Attention is a powerful mental capacity, essential for optimal performance, yet extremely fragile in times of stress.  It is also trainable.   Here is an opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive group. According to research by Dr. Amishi Jha, twelve minutes of mindfulness training can shift the functioning of attentional networks of the brain for improved mental performance and mindfulness.  Whether you already have a practice of mindfulness or are new to it, here’s an opportunity to raise your game with others.

  • 8 hours of foundational mindfulness meditation training

  • Spaced over four weeks

  • 2.5 hour introduction, 2 – 1.5 hour sessions, and a 2 hour wrap-up

  • Guidance and practical support for developing and maintaining daily practice

  • Workbook with all the information you need to get started

  • Mindfulness meditation recordings that coincide with this program

  • Attention tracking reflections so that you can SOAR higher in the mental, emotional and social aspects of your Equestrian endeavours.
